Davidoff Cigars introduces limited-release Dominicana line

Davidoff Cigars has introduced Davidoff Dominicana, a limited line that celebrates the “essence of the Dominican culture and lifestyle”.

Davidoff Dominicana is available three formats: Toro, Robusto and Short Robusto. It features vintage tobaccos – harvested in 2014, aged over six years, and rolled over 12 months ago.

Oettinger Davidoff Chief Marketing Officer Edward Simon commented: “We are pleased to have succeeded in developing a cigar that unites complex and manifold flavours with the smooth classiness of the White Band Collection and which captures the Dominican joie de vivre.”

Simon said Dominicana underlines Davidoff’s expertise and craftsmanship and is a statement about the company’s assortment of vintage tobacco stocks.

“The Davidoff Dominicana emphasises Davidoff’s core difference that aficionados worldwide value highly with our brand and company and our tireless efforts to delight our customers with unique propositions,” he added.

The cigar has a Dominican Republic Hybrid 257 wrapper and binder of Hybrid 151 from Ecuador, with filler tobaccos San Vicente Visus, San Vicente Mejorado Seco, Piloto Visus, Dominican Corojo 99 Seco and Yamasá Visus from the Dominican Republic.

Dominicana is finished with a signature pigtail to highlight the Davidoff cigar rollers’ skills and features a golden foot band revealing the year of the tobacco harvest.

The new line, which will be available as long as supplies of the vintage tobacco components last, is presented in ten-piece wooden boxes. Packaging includes a sticker to highlight the vintage tobacco blend.

Davidoff Dominicana will be available from May at selected retailers and Davidoff flagship stores.
