China Duty Free Group favorite to win Guangzhou Baiyun Airport contract

China Duty Free Group (CDFG) is set to win the nine year contract for duty free retail at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport arrivals after submitting the highest bid last week. There were four other bidders, but it is believed that CDFG were the biggest bidders on the table. The contract will cover the existing Terminal 1 at Guangzhou as well as the new Terminal 2 which is due to open in 2018. CDFG already has the contract for the departures duty free shops at Guangzhou.
