Ballantine’s launches limited-edition 30yo Cask Edition exclusively in Korea travel retail

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail has launched limited-edition Ballantine’s 30yo Cask Edition exclusively in Korea travel retail.

The expression, created by Master Distiller Sandy Hyslop, offers flavours of poached pear, honey and vanilla. Hyslop hand-selected some of Ballantine’s rarest whiskies and blended and prepared them in small batches at cask strength. Each bottle has a unique batch and bottle number and is presented in a dark wood package which has embossed details and copper accents.

The launch of Ballantine’s 30yo Cask Edition is being supported by a special VIP experience for travellers at Incheon International Airport in partnership with Lotte Duty Free and Shilla Duty Free. From August to October, an interactive display featuring copper bells for nosing will enable visitors to discover the aromas of Ballantine’s 30yo Cask Edition. Travellers can also participate in a full VIP tasting when pre-registering via b30caskedition.com.

Customers who purchase a bottle of Ballantine’s 30yo Cask Edition can create a personalised luggage tag, card holder or phone case.

Ballantine’s Master Blender Sandy Hyslop commented:

“I am very proud to introduce the very first Ballantine’s 30yo Cask Edition to Korea duty free. Aged for at least 30 years, this precious whisky comes straight from our very best, hand-selected casks and delivers intensified aromas of poached pears, creamy vanilla and heather honey, a velvety texture on the palate with sweet flavours of soft peach and fudge. With a rich and long-lasting finish, this is truly a precious and exceptional whisky to be enjoyed and experienced with your friends and family during important occasions, such as Chuseok*.”

*Chuseok is a major Korean holiday and time of cultural significance for honouring your ancestors.
